I am a new owner of a listserv. A friend of mine who uses AOL has tried to
sign up and the AOL mail reader won't let her leave the subject line
empty. It tells her that she has not completed the form. I know that
millions of other AOL users have subscribed to lists and I have never
heard of this problem.

I told her to go ahead and put just anything in the subject line, to get
past the AOL message and that Listserv will probably ignore it anyway. If
this doesn't work, what can she do?
