The "clues" are in the archives. It is also LISTSERV Release level
dependent (the meaning of the "stats).
This particular subject has been discussed quite often. Basically, NOMAIL
(and sometimes DIGEST) subscribers don't get counted. Also if your list is
PEERed then the peered servers might (not) notify of additional stats.
