The subscriber sends the command
 
SET listname NOMAIL
 
to the appropriate LISTSERV server.  Note that in 1.8b this does not
override DIGEST or INDEX settings; when the complimentary MAIL command
is sent, the user reverts to the mode set before the NOMAIL command was
issued.
