Any subscriber options that you update in the list definition usually
only take effect for NEW subscribers.  Existing subscribers either have
to set it themsevles, OR the list-owner does it for them.

Themself:

SET listname SUBJECT


For Them:

SET listname SUBJECT FOR userid@node

or

QUIET SET listname SUBJECT FOR *@*
