In LISTSERV 16.0 the "plain" digest format has been changed from earlier
versions so that attachments are removed from messages as are html message
parts so the result appears as 'plain text only'.   Base64 encoded messages
(e.g. from Blackberry, or from a mailer using UTF-8 charset) are also
converted to plain text.

MIME DIGEST or HTML DIGEST format must be used to see attachments and/or HTML
text in HTML format.  Different mail clients handle these differently.  Some
experimentation is usually necessary.
