        If LISTSERV would support SIFT/UFT,  then it could send non-mail
(files) through preferred channels.   SIFT tries to send the "files"
directly via TCP to a UFT server,  but there's a mail fall-back that
uses MIME when that doesn't work.   This works for any platform,
not just VM.
