I thing it has to do with LSTOWN-L being peered and the "master"
being at SEARN.SUNET.SE
Did you try to sending the NOACK to [log in to unmask] ? ...

PEACH is the peered host, mirroring SEARN for LSTOWN-L ... Kind of the
local server ... Apparently Search Jobs on list archive were slowing
