Let's get "real" -- there is no RFC that specifies a case sensitivity to
the right of the at-sign. it is UNREASONABLE for every correspondent who
wants to mail your subscriber to figure out that the hostname has some
sort of case sensitivity i.e., this affects more than just you/your list.
Furthermore, mail to that address can be handled by any one of three
servers, some of which might not be properly configured:
Query:Mail Exchange (MX):POP3.MAIN-KINZIG.NET
Authoritative Answer
POP3.MAIN-KINZIG.NET MX 15 pop3t.main-kinzig.net
POP3.MAIN-KINZIG.NET MX 20 mail.gelnhausen.net
POP3.MAIN-KINZIG.NET MX 10 pop3.main-kinzig.net
main-kinzig.NET NS ns.rockbridge.net
main-kinzig.NET NS ns.cw.net
pop3t.main-kinzig.net A 195.243.232.5
pop3.main-kinzig.net A 195.88.47.5
ns.rockbridge.net A 206.151.4.1
ns.cw.net A 204.70.128.1
Complete: POP3.MAIN-KINZIG.NET
Furthermore with appropriate forwarding support might be able to be
handled by MAIN-KINZIG.NET
Query:Mail Exchange (MX):MAIN-KINZIG.NET
Authoritative Answer
MAIN-KINZIG.NET MX 20 ns.rockbridge.net
MAIN-KINZIG.NET MX 10 mail.gelnhausen.net
main-kinzig.NET NS ns.rockbridge.net
main-kinzig.NET NS ns.cw.net
ns.rockbridge.net A 206.151.4.1
ns.cw.net A 204.70.128.1
Complete: MAIN-KINZIG.NET
If worse comes to worse, maybe the subscriber can
1) subscribe from two addresses: one which is receive-only (and different
from his existing subscription)
2) use the WEB interface:
