We'd like to turn off confirmation for listname-request *ONLY*, but it's
not clear from reading the documentation and perusing the archives how to
do it, if at all possible. We haven't had spam problems in the past for
this list. Further, this breaks an effective tool a list owner uses to
train users to write to listname-request. He has an email account that
sends email that appears to come from [log in to unmask]
This means folks REPLY to that instead of the private address of the list
owner.

Typically he sends the email to the user with a cc to listname-request
so the rest of the owners see the email. That triggers a confirmation
request back to listname-request. Not a pretty sight. OK, so you may think
it's a bad idea to spoof email this way- I'd like some "real" reasons. And
I repeat, it has really helped train users not to send directly to the
owners.

Thanks in advance for any insights.
