I totally agree!  I just started my own listserv this week knowing
nothing.  I found this list and the manuals offered for downloading
at  http://www.lsoft.com/manuals/index.html to be extremely
helpfull.  The "listowners quick reference" is especially good as
it is only 20 pages and is written clearly.
