Well, I suggested to them that they try writing to the postmaster.
Eventually the postmaster there in Japan may get around to doing
something. Apparently not right away though. Meanwhile they now
tell me they have great faith that my message to this list will
produce something. I don't think I want to mention possibilities
of faking an outgoing address on a piece of mail. Anyone have a
technique for getting a sleeping postmaster for an owner-absent
listserv to pay attention?

A copy of the latest message about this is below. Thanks for
your help.

No. Handling the matter privately hasn't been working since the listowner
doesn't respond. Perhaps the best way to find relief would be to suggest
strategies that might actually work ? Hopefully Vickie Banks will have
some luck with her contacts on [log in to unmask]

First of all, thanks for helping out - your efforts are greatly appreciated.
I have also tried sending mail to both of the addresses you list here, but
haven't received any replies yet. Right now your messages to
[log in to unmask] are the best hope for getting the problem resolved.
