I am the owner of HSPNET-L@albnydh2 (a list for hospital consulting
networks).  I would like some advice on how to avoid, as far as possible,
the wearisome,repeated downloading and modification of the filelist for
inserting, new package groups, new files and filetypes, updating old
ones, etc. There is also a security reason why this frequent switching
of filelists is undesirable.  I have seen quite a lot of discussion about
this problem and since we are a "newborn" list, I would like to adopt
the consensus view about the best approach.  It would be helpful to
obtain both documentation and an example of the preferred method so
that I can pass this along to our systems managers. Many thanks, DFP
