All of the standard warnings apply:


0) I believe this is covered in a FAQ

1) make sure you turn off LINE WRAP

2) make sure you turn off your SIGNATURE

3) make sure that the file isn't so big that you don't crash your editor

4) make sure you have a backup

5) be prepared to handle questions about DIGEST and/or INDEX problems

6) be prepared to handle more requests for editting the archives for
other reasons

Consider list-definition updates to disallow ATTACHMENTS and also to
limit size of postings.
