Pardon if this has been asked and answered before.

I have a customized WELCOME message for my list that I implemented
with the PUT command.

The problem is that new subscribers get 2 messages, my customized
welcome message, plus the message ("You have been added to the
BLAH-BLAH list") automatically sent by listserv.

How do I suppress the 2nd message so that ONLY my customized Welcome
message is sent?

I would have the same need to replace the FAREWELL message as well.
