This is interesting, but one major caveat with using rss feeders to read
private lists is that a service such as bloglines will make it publicly
available (via searching, say on key words), even if you mark that
subscription in bloglines as "private".  Doing so merely means your account
won't publicly display the feed as one of the ones its subscribed to, but
the contents will be available otherwise.

There are people who tied their gmail accounts (which does offer a feed, for
some insane reason)  into their blogline accounts and had all their email
available for people to see.

So I'd exercise caution with a private subscriber-only list -- and it might
not be a bad idea to check some of the popular ones to see if a subscriber
of yours has done something like this...
