I think all of who own dog lists at Apple.ease do. We don't interfere
with opinions, but we do demand that they "play nicely" and it seems
that in the heat of a discussion, things get a little hot rather
often. To have a list that is well behaved, they have to be read and
monitored so that they don't get into name calling contests. We got
used to this back when we were hosted by Apple. They demanded that we
make them behave. Of course, reading the list isn't much of a problem
because we only started lists that were interesting to us, so we want
to read them. Corrections are pretty rare. My list has over 2000
people on it and we only step in once in awhile, but that is because
they know we won't tolerate it. Most of those people are new and
haven't learned the rules yet, but we have some who are perpetual,
and they are on permanent Review. The rest of the "adminning" is
helping people with problems.
