Hmmm, a unique use of Renew. Yes, remove the Probe.
First question, is everyone set to Renew? if not do so with a quiet set.

Second question, have you told subscribers they will have to respond to
this renewal and that doing so constitutes acceptance of your new rules?
If not, do so, before you implement the Renew. Be sure you explain that
doing the "confirm" is simple, all they need do is send CONFIRM listname,
from the subscribed address to the LISTSERV@whatever-yours-is .

In this case I can see where you would want a specific date, put in
the settings so they work (if you change header on the 1st be sure you
specify the 2nd in the keyword). Don't forget the grace period settings,
unless the default is ok.

Be prepared for lots of complaints, how do I do this?, people sending
"confirms" to listname-request, you, and the list rather than to the
LISTSERV address, etc. And of course, nastiness due to the change.

And if this is a one shot deal don't forget to change your Renew=
and your customized mailtpl.
