Your note to him was much more polite than mine.  I rather sarcastically
pointed out that it was unlikely that anybody read his announcement since
most people were not willing to wade through six screens of a "to" line
to get to the content.  I also told him that he had just committed a
rather large net no-no.
 
The part that I found funny was that at the end of the six screens of
recipients, including the two lists I run and eight or so others that
I subscribe to, he asks us to forward the posting to other lists.
