Just a random thought ...

I operate a number of lists where I do not normally post.  Nevertheless,
I often "force" myself to send administrivia to those lists with the
partial intent to be a poster per se.  This allows me to "catch" bounces
that broken mail systems do not send to the official bounce address
(usually OWNER-listname@listhost), but instead to the poster.  When that
occurs, I then take action as if it were sent to the OWNER-listname address.
