It appears that the e-mail package John.M.Deal is using cannot handle the reply to feature of the list. This might be the cause of the RFC8222 errors. You might want to check the ststau of the Reply-To header line in the list configuration. It might be that you have it set to 'respect' you might want to change it to 'ignore'. However this may not correct the problem. It could very will be that his mail package cannot handle the RFC822 information at all.

Hi all-

It seems that some people are getting duplicate posts, and some dupes are even getting posted to our archive. I've not seen this before.

I am wondering (not being a *mail* admin-type) if it is possible that some subscriber's mal-configured mail system could be wreaking havoc here. It seems many (if not all) of the dupes seem to be from him.

Here are the leading headers in the web archive for one of the duplicate posts - the first looks mnormal, the second so very weird. Since I know very little about how mail works, any insight would be most appreciated.
