I posted last week about a probable bad DNS table somewhere between
Brown University and NOL.NET in Houston, TX.

I have one (maybe 2) subscribers that sub'ed can issue QUERY BLUES-L,
modify their setup, etc ... The only thing they cannot do is ... receive
mail from the list ... For a reason, far out of my understanding, mail
keeps being routed through a host that is not in service anymore.

mirror.nol.net had been replaced by dazed.nol.net as local name server.
But the user's mail is bounced from this "out-of-duty" name server every
day ... A call to the user mail support only confirm that the host
"mirror" is no longer in service and has been replaced by "dazed" some
months ago ... I know that normally DNS tables updates are done within
hours...

How can we find where is the goddam faulty table ? Is there anyway to
know the route taken by this user mail from BROWN.EDU to NOL.NET via
DIST2 ?

It sounds like a bad episode of Lost In (Cyber)Space ...
