I have assumed that material posted on an e-mail list remains the
intellectual property of the author and should not be forwarded
to other lists (or posted on web-sites) without the permission
of the author. I distinguish lists (even non-confidential)
or maybe I should say with subscription that's open or open,
confirm, from public usenet posts. Does it matter if notebooks
are set private? Am I correct or does my assumption only
apply to confidential lists?

What if I were to post material on my web-site that originated
on our list and I could not locate the author?

Thanks!
