One more data point :
Our list (HELLAS - Greek list) has subscription=By_owner and since everyone
one the list communicates in Greek it is my policy everytime I receive a
request for subscription from someone with a foreign name to send her a
note with the list description to see if she *really* wants to subscribe.
I received [log in to unmask] request about a week ago and he never replied
to my note.
