Eric has clarified the issue about having the list headers be
public:

Yes, the issue that has been raised is not privacy, but security.
I would like very much to keep one item of information private--
the editor address.  I run a moderated list with the editor
address different from the owner address.  It is an account with
a different username on a different machine.  I do not want to
receive any mail other than messages submitted to the list on
that account.
 
Making my editor address public serves no useful purpose.  All
it does is provide nasty people with the information they need to
forge messages to the list.
 
I have two ideas:
 
1) make the review command skip editor lines.  People who want to
make the editor public in the list header can do so by putting
the address in as comments.
 
2) make it possible for the list owner to mark lines to exclude
from review--for instance by using + in column 1 instead of *.
This would also make it possible to hide the filter lines as
well.
 
 
Hiding the editor from review is not enough.  The messages to my
list are now distributed with a Resent-from: header line that
gives the editor address.  I'd like the LISTSERVer to take out
that line from the message header.
