Since several people have asked about:

>By the way, Eric has pointed out to me that my mailer now puts in
>a Reply-To: field (nothing I can do about it but gripe) so if you
>want to reply to the list you'll have to do it manually. Sorry.

here is further explanation.

Less than a fortnight ago, after a post to this list, Eric sent me a
private note asking why I was inserting a Reply-To: field in my messages,
as that cancels the Reply-To: of the list header (my words, not his,
forgive me if it isn't technically accurate, I'm speaking only of the
practical effect). I told him it wasn't my doing, it was the mailer,
which had been changed, and there was nothing I could do about it.

So, I send in another message to this list and make a fool of myself by
mentioning it, and, behold, the header has the Reply-To: field in it.

I can guarantee that LSTOWN-L did exhibit the "no Reply-To" behavior
previously and that our list at UBVM still does. Anything from me
has no "Reply-To," only my "From:" field, which means an autommatic
reply is sent only to me, not the list.

So that's the situation, as I understand it, and the explanation for
writing what I did.

For all I know Eric changed the code at SEARN after I answered his
note. I don't know.
