The system of a recent subscriber to my HOCKEY-L list caused rejections
*posted to the list* as shown below.  It appears that there might be
problems in several areas:
 
1) The x.400 system produced rejection mail that got to my LISTSERV with
   a blank line in the header (in the "From:" field).
 
2) Some mailer along the way may have folded a valid "From:" field with
   lots of blanks into one with a blank line.
 
3) LISTSERV rightly stops looking for bounced mail at the first blank
   line, and then inserts a phoney "From:" field of [log in to unmask]
   This would be OK except that the mail gets distributed even though I
   have POSTMASTER served out :-(
 
such a nice way to start the day :-)
