Actually, for each individual violation there is probably at least one
set of applicable laws :-) Personally, if I were really worried I'd go
for something like:

Neither Joe Smith nor the University of Someplace, collectively referred
to as "XYZ-L management", author, edit or hold title to the material
posted to this mailing list, and therefore assume no responsibility for
its contents. The XYZ-L mailing list and associated archive are provided
on an 'as is' basis, without any commitment whatsoever. The foregoing is
in lieu of all other warranties express or implied, including, but not
limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a
particular purpose. The mailing list is a software device that replicates
electronic messages in a fashion similar to a mundane photocopier, ie
without scanning them for contents, relevance or appropriateness. In
particular, XYZ-L management is not in a position to guarantee that the
information posted to the list does not constitute a copyright
infringement. XYZ-L management reserves the right to remove messages from
the archive if they violate <country/state> law or if they are otherwise
considered inappropriate, and to reject future postings from the authors
of such messages. XYZ-L management assumes no responsibility for possible
misuse of the information posted to the mailing list and, in particular,
XYZ-L management is not in a position to prevent subscribers from further
redistributing that information, or to detect that such redistribution
has taken place. Subscribers are advised not to post copyrighted
information to the mailing list, and to bear in mind that the list
reaches an international audience, whereas copyright laws differ from one
country to another. Under no circumstance will XYZ-L management be liable
for consequential damage, even if XYZ-L management had been advised of
the possibility of such damage. If any of the provisions in this
disclaimer are invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, they
are to that extent to be deemed omitted.

If you're still worried, I'm sure any good lawyer could expand this to a
half-dozen pages, and then you'll have to throw in another page or two
about viruses for good measure :-)
