You're correct: the COMPUSERVE.COM MTA is not following the RFCs.  It
should bounce it to the MAIL FROM:<ONWER-listname@listhost> address.  I
just got one of these babies today as a poster (not as a list-owner).

This is an example of why list-owners should post an occasional message to
their own lists i.e., as a bug-catcher.
