Dear fellow experts,

My list (which is for parents/caregivers of children with disabilities) tends
to get quite a few submissions of resources and product advertisements.

I don't allow the product advertisements/spam and try to curtail to some extent
resource announcements to the list, mainly just because the list is very busy
for repeats of this nature. However, I tend to feel that the information is of
potential interest and so have been toying with the distribution of a separate
file where I can make short summaries of the information available, something
along the lines of a news letter.

Then I'll also have better control of the resource announcements also so that
the number of them are curtailed to a reasonable number and frequency.

My question is in seeking methods of distribution. Initially I was going to
use the GIVE command, but that does not appear to lend itself to a distribution
of list subscribers, not to mention that it appears I'll get a note back for
every address I give to. If I'm missing some key parameters, please enlighten
me.

I don't really want to send it out to the list address itself and get it
tangled up in the digest users mail (which defeats the purpose of segregating
it to begin with). The digest reasoning kind of applies to using TOPICS for
this also.

The last option I've been able to think of is using a job command adapted that
I saw from Peter Weiss

The job command, in case this is of interest (works from 1.8d)

//Path.LISTNAME JOB Echo=yes
DIST2 Mail Ack=Mail Debug=NO
//TO DD *
<insert REV listname (NOH output here>
/*
//DATA  DD  *,EOF,Res=Disk
