Yes, a request could be forged. That is unfortunate. But, I have
not yet seen that happen. I have seen one case of it happening on a lyris
list, but that is due to how lyris handles unsubscribe requests. It may
be reasonable to delve deeper into the message than just the from line,
and confirm ``strange requests''. It would be difficult in most cases to
not create an unsubscribe request that is not ``suspicious''. May I ask,
has anyone SERIOUSLY seen unsubscribe requests that have been forged?

When you want to get OFF the list, setting NOMAIL, is kind of
silly. Say I subscribe to a list that looks intresting, I find out that
it is not what I expected and has a volume of over 100 messages per day.
I am leaving town for a week, and send an unsubscribe. Or, even in some
cases, a ``set listname nomail'' and don't have time to check that it was
done. My mail starts bouncing, I get back, and find I've lost mail that I
was hoping to get. I know I'm just bitching here, but I think that this
is most annoying behaviour. Mind you, I've found that this option is ONLY
set on lists that I most want to get off of.
