I have read the list owner's manual sectin 2.12.1 several times, but I am
still confused about the difference between * Validate=yes and * Validate=
yes,confirm.

It appears to me that a list owner can supply a password when a list is set
to =yes but this looks to be the same as what's allowed when the list is set
to =yes,confirm  In a way, =yes looks to be more secure than =yes,confirm

Can somebody set me straight somehow other than quoting back the manual?
