A new list was advertisted as LIST-1 rather than LIST-L.  If I make the
LIST-ID header be LIST-1, will subscriptions work as desired?  Seems
that it will.  After a month or two, I can put the LIST-ID tag back to
its proper value.
 
As you can tell, I'm not totally clear about what LIST-ID is used for.
I see, in reading 1.8a release notes, that LIST-ID is used to establish
a "long" list name.  Also just looked in the draft "A description of
list header keywords Listserv for VM" which makes me think it will work.
