This sort of problem occurs here, too.  UNIX users (large numbers of student
users in student labs) frequently use a node other than the one subscribed from
so messages are delayed or bounced.  Sometimes they switch because they move
to a lab that has a different naming scheme or just because they started with
bach since it is short.  Or, they initially use their POP mail
id and then switch to UNIX or VM.  It would be beneficial if Listserv could
be told to equate [log in to unmask] with [log in to unmask]
with [log in to unmask] (someuser is unique) in a form such as
someuser@*.cc.nd.edu.
