Thanks, Douglas - that answers my question on the TELL commands. Is there
any way that I, as a listserv owner, can alter the header? And is there
anyway in which I can make a change for a subscriber with one command
rather than having to edit the whole subscriber file?
 
I'm sure the above questions probably sound dumb, but as I said earlier
I'm totally new to this and have gotten myself confused with obtaining
the BITNET files, I guess. Is there a source for listowners to use that
gives instructions to them for managing lists? At our site we're totally
new to hosting lists, so those in the computer center have said I'm
pretty much on my own in trying to figure out how to work things.
