I notice that some lists I subscribe to give both the list name and a 
message count in the subject line.

I know how to set the name in the subject line.    How do I add the 
counter?     It would look something like this:

[LISTNAME  12351]  Subject 1
[LISTNAME  12352]   Subject 2
[LISTNAME  12353]  RE: Subject 1
etc
