This is not a trivial advantage.  As a list owner you can
say "looks fine going out of here--must be a problem on your end"
and be almost certain you're right and don't have to engage in
extended discussion of who is to blame.
    (OK, we are having a problem with VM errors trying to
search large archives, but that appears to be a local, and
*very* untypical problem.)
