Some other esoterica:

Topics have no meaning for DIGEST subscribers

The three predefined "reserved" topics are ALL, NONE, and OTHER

Misspelled topics are categorized as OTHER

You can think of reserved ALL as connoting English usage of ANY (which does not have a LISTSERV topic meaning)

If you add, remove, or change a TOPIC, make sure you follow da' rules in terms of placement within the TOPICS= operands.

Changing a LIst definition topic or default-topics, does NOT change the existing subscribers' selection.

On one of the lists that we have defined the topics feature, we request that users use an explicitly defined topic MISC instead of depending upon OTHER. That way, if someone forgets to use a proper topic or fat-finger's the topic, it is not distributed to the mail subscribers.

TOPICS= a,b,c,MISC
DEFAULT-TOPICS= ALL,-OTHER
