You mean prior or post distribution? If you mean antedistribution you have
to have the list set so you can see the item before it is distributed;
many techniques for that with header keyword settings, i.e. how you have
Send= set (lots of options) and other keywords which are, one way or
another, linked to it.  If you mean postdistribution, delete from the
archives, GET the pertinent log, edit it and PUT it back.

If LISTSERV list postings have expiration dates it is news to me.
This sounds like usenet/newsgroup stuff.

Are you perhaps confusing what LISTSERV does and what your local
