When setting up Digests, if you choose 'Same' as the location then
LISTSERV will use the location specified in Notebook=.

Kevin Parris mentioned before that you should expand on the Notebook=
keyword, which is good advice.  When choosing a directory to store your
list's archives, it's a wise idea to keep it out of the LISTSERV\MAIN\
directory and also out of the web root (if enabled).

For example, on Windows a typical place to put the archives in is
C:\LISTSERV\ARCHIVES\listname\, and on Unix ~/listserv/archives/listname/.
