One of my subscribers just made me a ware of a problem relating to
getting list messages via the indexed version of the list.  Apparently
when he tries to forward the index post back to the listserver, his
revisions to the "print" statement are ignored.  It appears to be a
function of the aol system.

some more experimenting and found out what I was doing wrong.  Sorry to have
wasted your time.  You may be interested, however, that the instructions at
the bottem of each index page are not useful to members of America Online.
 My solution was to copy the desired items to a fresh "Compose Mail" window
and address it to anthro-l-search-request.  AOL users should NOT use the
Forward button, because it is impossible to cut stuff online.  For the same
reason, it is impossible to add stuff after the "print" message.  These
operations would be possible by going offline then back on, but that
procedure would be cumbersome, to say the least.  Hope these suggestions are
helpful.
