Our WWW pages  for searching and browsing the LISTS  database are finally
ready for  a test run  (this was actually started  a while ago,  but more
urgent matters took precedence). The URL is:
 
                 http://www.lsoft.com/lists/listref.html
 
I expect  that this  will be the  final URL when  the page  is officially
opened, *unless*  we decide to change  the title. At any  rate, please do
not publish the  URL until we open the directory  to the public. European
users may also try:
 
                 http://segate.sunet.se/lists/listref.html
 
This second URL  should not be published ANYWHERE as  there is absolutely
no  guarantee that  the pages  will  remain there  (SUNET's official  WWW
server is WWW.SUNET.SE and this is  probably where it would make sense to
install the service in the long run).
 
I'm taking bets for the cultural experiment in the "About" page (click on
the first link)  :-) Some say it  will make no difference,  some think it
just might :-)
