I have an EASE list with a primary owner and a quiet owner. The list has
the Validate= On option, so a password is required for command validation.
While the primary owner (myself) has no problem sending commands to the
list, whenever the quiet owner sends a command message, she receives an
error message back stating:

>Invalid password supplied. Acceptable passwords are: your personal
password
>(obtained through the "PW ADD" command) and the password of the
ARGONAUT-L
>list. If you have forgotten your password, send a "PW RESET" command
to
>reset it or, if this fails, contact the LISTSERV
administrator
>([log in to unmask]) for assistance.

I've checked her command message syntax, and she appears to be entering the
List Password correctly.

I should note that at one time I accidentally added a Personal Password
that was the same as the List Password.

My questions are:

1) How can I add a Personal Password for the Quiet Owner? The ListServ
manual implies that I can change my own personal password, but how do I do
it for the quiet owner? Obviously, she cannot do it if the ListServ does
not accept her given password.

2) Another option is to reset the List Password. The manual states that
the syntax is PW RESET with a confirmation message after that. However,
the manual implies that this will only remove the List Password. How do I
change it to something else? Do I change it through the list header?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
