Or push for the wide adoption of SPF (see http:://spf.pobox.com) or some
other system to authenticate the sending server for the domain.  This
would require messages from [log in to unmask] come from a server listed
as authorized to send from domain.com.  The TAF server would not be
allowed to do this.

Pro: would prevent forged emails. Side benefit, would assist in general
spam control.
Con: not practical until near universal adoption.
