If there is any possibility that folks did not do a confirmed opt-in, you
and your ISP account may get into trouble.

BTW, before you send a message to that list, you should setup a test list
that has the same list defintion attributes as the production one.  THEN
you can run a test or two to make sure that the desired results are
observed by you BEFORE your customers.

In my mind, you really need to think long and hard before you press the
most dangerous key on your keyboard (SEND) ;-)  i.e., your questions
actually require alot of back-n-forth to respond appropriately.
