Hi. I recently started (with the assistance of others) the ACTNOW-L
list. For subscriptions we've asked all persons to format the SUB
command with their real name, followed by a "/", followed by the
name of their organization:

David B. O'Donnell / ListMaint

The problem - somehow - seems to be that LISTSERV won't always let me
change the name parameters! I reset some local subscribers today, having
no problem at all adding the SP / SP <organization>. Yet when I tried
to add an internet address subscription, LISTSERV balked at the "/". So
I tried to add the account with its BITNET address -- and got the same
error!

Has anyone else had this problem? If you have, and have solved it, please
contact me directly as I am not currently subscribed to LSTOWN-L.

Thanks for your assistance.
