This is a complex issue, and if you are looking for a one-word answer, then NO.

In fact the list definition AUTO-DELETE= does provide some relief but
because of the intracacies of email bounces, it is not fool-proof e.g.,

Auto-delete= YES,Semi-Auto,Delay(3),Max(25)

would NOT delete a subscriber who autoforwards to a different
non-subscriber email account.
