They are addicts! It is [log in to unmask] Perhaps like
scotch or oysters or whatever, it is an acquired taste. MANY also
subscribe and then unsub the same day. o-) Still others read it
as bit.listserv.words-l. There are a couple hundred members, but as
is case on most lists 90 percent of the traffic comes from ten percent
of the members, the good old Pareto Principle striking again.
Although words-l may be at the high end of traffic, many lists have
over a hundred a day. NOVELL and WP51-L come to mind.
