No, it MUST be sent from the old address and confirmed ONLY from the
old address.  Of course it doesn't make sense to do it unless you have
access to the new address as well.  I just did this (subscriber
version) on one of my lists, and may be doing it on all the lists I'm
subbed to, so I'm speaking from experience here.
