Bon Matin all,

I have a strange problem and I think it is more common but was just
unotice until recently... That would explain "replies" appearing
before "originals" on the list ...

This posted 5 posts 4 of them were delivered within minutes, one of
them stayed at Brown for 7 hours ...

Now I know it could be a problem at Brown between their VM machine
and the outgoing gateway.

Waht I don't understand is a message received by BROWNVM ends
up on "listserv.brown.edu" apparently via "stanley.cis.Brown.EDU"
without a specific Received: line ... So I have no way of knowing
if the message was delayed by LISTSERV processing (or a trouble
on the VM running) or if the delay is a netweork/comm's problem
at Brown...

Any other list owner out there with random exceptional delay ?
or any insight as to what the cause may be aside what I already
mentioned ?

Am I correct in assuming that the delay is pprobably caused by
a comm's error on the mailfile transfer and that the mailfile
was set aside for X hours before it was retried ? Does LISTSERV
have a "standard" delay time for comm's error ?
