I don't think Eric ever "promised" anything of the sort, but you might
be able to make the case from release notes published back in 1996 or
1997 that L-Soft planned to port AFD/FUI in an unspecified future
release.  At this point the prospects for porting AFD/FUI are pretty
dim and I wouldn't expect to see it any time soon.
